Linnea Olsson is a Swedish musician who is set to release her debut album, ‘Ah!’, this week on Control Freak Kitten Records. Linnea has been a been a member of both Peter Gabriel and Ane Brun’s touring bands. Her brand of cello led chamber pop is really interesting and there’s something about her that reminds me of both Kate Bush and Marina and The Diamonds. Linnea plays The Workman’s Club on March 2nd. Tickets are €10 and available from Ticketmaster.
Dinosaur is the current single from the album and I’m really liking it. I love the sound and tone of the cello and although the track consists of only strings and vocals, it’s more than enough.
