The London Ear #376
I really enjoyed that! Now with 100% extra, The London Ear is now on RTÉ 2XM every Saturday from 12 midday until 2pm. More chats, more music and a couple of new features.
Interview: Seán Keenan from Nixer
I really enjoyed catching up with Sean from Nixer. Although the band initially were working in Dublin and London, it turns out that both Seán and his bandmate Gearóid, are also now based in South East London, quite close to where I am. I really love the energy that comes from their music and it is truly uplifting to hear an artist so passionate about their music. Nixer have just released a new single ‘Outsider’, from their ‘People Feel’ EP’.
You can find out more about the band on Insta, Facebook and Twitter and head over to Bandcamp to buy some tunes. Get tickets for Nixer’s headline show at The Grace, Islington, on February 24th here.
Interview with writer and actor, Conor Burke
It was great to catch up with actor and playwright, Conor Burke. A writer and actor, Conor called London his home for a while and then Covid struck. He returned to London in 2021 and is now also studying for a masters degree. Great chats with Conor!
Conor will be performing his one man show ‘Everything is Grand, And I’m Completely Okay’ at The Hope Theatre in Islington on March 6th and 7th. The play features Malachy, who’s 25 and jsut getting over tte death of his younger brother, while figuring out who he is and who he isn’t. It’s growing up, and the lessons we learn along the way.
The play is directed by IFTA nominee Lesley Conroy. Book your tickets here.
