As much as I love the longer evenings, there’s something about night time photography that I just adore. We went to see a movie this evening and as we were walking back to the train station the neon lights of St Martin’s Theatre. I couldn’t decide which photo to upload, so I’ve uploaded two. Sometimes I take a photo and wonder if I should upload it or not. I guess this is what Project365 is all about for me. I love the scrapes on the glass on the bridge ar Waterloo East. Ever feel like you’re going round on circles? Went for walk from Westminster along Victoria Embankment and found this fella along the way. Definitely worth a shot for the gram. No, I’m not one of those people. I actually did feel sorry for the boyfriends who had the task of taking all the photos in front of the London Eye. London is a great town and the underground is a godsend to get around easily. Unless it’s not working, like today. Then, it’s the complete pits. The one thing I genuinely detest about London is the commute time. And then, something like this, when nothing seems to work, makes me want to run away to a Pacific island and hide from all the madness. Can’t be just me, can it? So last night we visited the Old Operating Theatre Museum at London Bridge. I would thoroughly advise you to go, especially to a night time event. The museum is a cornucopia of ye olde medical devices and apothecary herbs, bottles and magical cures. There’s so much history on the site of the museum and the operating theatre itself was used as the first for women in England. St Thomas’s hospital stood in that site until the 1860s when the railway line was built from Charing Cross to London Bridge. I need to write a blog post about this. Probably one of the more unusual events I’ve been to but worth every second of being there. Rain on the Irish Sea. So many people have seen this or a similar sight between Ireland and Great Britain. There are so many of us here in Great Britain that Brexit will affect. It was reassuring that the Irish Tanaiste, Sinon Coveney and British Minister for the Cabinet Office, David Lidington, signed a memorandum of understanding to ensure the Common Travel Area between Britain and Ireland will continue. This means Irish or British citizens can travel between the countries without a passport and it also gives the right for Irish people to live and work in Great Britain and vice versa. Very important. It’s a while since I was in Borough Market. We walked through briefly, it was jammers! Came back later as all the stalls were closing up. I took this photo of the weighing scales through a metal wire fence as the guys in @turnipsborough were finishing up for the day. I love weighing scales, so much so I bought an old vintage one.
