#Project365: Day 21-30

Night time photo of the millennium bridge across the river thames to St Paul's Cathedral.

I’ve managed to get through a full month of #Project365 so far. There are a few things that are standing out for me as I try to do upload a photo everyday.

It is much harder than it seems!

I want to try and make sure that each photo I take is better than the one before. I’m just going to have to take my camera everywhere with me. It’s hard trying to pick one every day that will, in some way, compliment what you’re already doing.

The direction I want to go in with my photos.

No, I don’t mean the directions of the train tracks. As I upload every day, I can see myself preferring different kinds of shots that I have taken. I’m also looking at the general aesthetic or feel of the photo and then a group of photos, to see which works for me. Don’t worry, you’re never going to get pink walls and bleached out photos from me! But, this project can / will give me the opportunity to try different vibes and see how those work for me.

If I can, I don’t really want to have to ‘stage’ photos very much. I don’t have studio space or much space at all really for lights etc. There’s nothing wring with these at all but I feel if I go for this now, there’s no going back.

That’s it at the end of Day 30. Let’s face it, everything I’ve just written I could have scrapped etc by Day 50.

I really wish I was jetting off somewhere nice today. Today, I reached crisis point. My beloved phone wouldn’t switch on, wouldn’t restart or reboot or anything, leaving me to face the modern world alone. No internet, no emails, no twitter,no @instagram Imagine my dismay when the guy in the phone shop said thanks to a software malfunction, it could take 3 weeks to get fixed. Tomorrow I will hatch a plan to get my phone back in six hours.Wish me luck. #Project365 22/365 #canarywharf #london #architecture #plane #londonlifeinc #londoncitylife #toplondonphoto #instalondon #londoncollective #londonenthusiast #londoncity #londontown #nessymon #irishinlondon #irishblogger #firstworldproblems #cellphone #samsungs8 #ig_london #londonbylondoners #londonguru #londondiaries

The flag flies over Clery’s clock. I can’t believe it’s already two weeks since I came back from Ireland. I took this photo on a warm Tuesday evening, wandering around Dublin city centre, listening to Liverpool beat Porto in the Champions League. So technically this is yesterday’s photo. I will catch up. I spent a couple of hours in the Samsung hospital both yesterday and Sammy came out today with a brand new motherboard! I think the last time I went this long without a phone was when I went to San Francisco in 2000! We still used proper film back then! A bridge to St Paul’s. So this evening we went to Tate Modern for Tate Lates, they stay open till 10pm. Our friend Joseph was taking part in a performance of the musical ‘Song For a Carnation’, which features older LGBTQ people. It was really enjoyable and has grown so much since its first production in the Young Vic last year. So while everyone went to the bar, we headed home and had this view along the way. Wrecked now, very glad it’s Friday, looking forward to a lie in tomorrow. #Project365 26/365 #london #tatemodern #riverthames #stpauls #stpaulscathedral #thethames #nightscape #instalondon #ig_london #londoncity #toplondonphoto #nessymon #thelondonlifeinc #londoner #londonbylondoners #londoncollective #london_enthuasist #londonstreets #irishinlondon #thelondonear #TateLates #openingdoorsldn #lgbtq

The skinniest house in town! It is a bit deceiving, the side of the house that you can see obviously is very thin. I’m not sure what you could do in rooms that size apart from use them for storage. The further away from this side you go, the wider the house becomes. It’s still skinny though. If it’s kerb appeal you’re after, this is the gaff for you! Thanks to @finbarr_40 for the location tip off. #Project365 29/365 #london #architecture #southken #southkensington #londoncity #londonstreets #thurloesquare #londoncollective #londoner #londonbylondoners #londonenthusiast #londontown #toplondonphoto #irishblogger #kerbappeal #roadfrontage #townhouse #london4all #instalondon #ig_london #thelondonear #thelondonlifeinc
