Henrietta Game aren’t quite like anything else on the Irish music scene at the moment. Their new single is ‘Sleep Then’ and is taken from their album ‘Black Ship’ due for release on June 24th.
‘Sleep Then’ is an interesting composition. Henrietta Game use quite organic and traditional instruments, alongside guitar, cello and xylophone. Clever arrangement of the instruments alongside layers of exquisite vocals make this something very special. The vocals in the higher regions are beautifully counterbalanced by the cello.
It’s also nice to see that they are taking everything seriously, looking at their website the band have a brand and image that totally suits their music. ‘Sleep Then’ is a good introduction to Henrietta Game. Going on this, if their album can produce the same standard of production and quirkyness, they will be destined for bigger things.
