Read the headlines, “Bastille in Alien Sex Shocker!” Well, not quite but you have to giggle with an alien sex scene pixelated out.
Other People’s Heartaches Parts 1 and 2 were free downloads and some of the tracks actually made it to the ‘All this Bad Blood’ double album. This time round, Bastille have gone legit with Part 3, aka Vs. and the history of previous mixtapes lets them do some experimenting in between album releases.
When I spoke to Dan in August 2013, the second album was being worked on and he was pretty eager to get the material out and there’s no doubt that the success the band have had in the US over the past year has contributed to the delay in Album Number 2.
Vs. will be released on December 8. We’ve already heard Weapons (vs Angel Haze and F*U*G*Z) and The Driver, which featured on Zane Lowe’s reimagination of the Drive Soundtrack. Also featured on the 9 track release are HAIM, MNEK, and Torn Apart features Grades.
The video for ‘Torn Apart’ features Michael Jackson, Black or White style morphing with becomes slightly weird with aliens. Well I guess if it didn’t I wouldn’t be talking about it. What do you think?
