The London Ear on RTÉ 2XM: Episode 380
Hello! Isn’t it well for some having a bank holiday weekend! Yes, Ireland, I’m looking at you! Having St. Patrick’s Day away from Ireland means losing out on our days off. Something, I think all Irish people are not happy with! But, never fear, I’ve got to great interviews for you for this week’s episode of The London Ear.
This week’s Irish track #FromTheVault is The Chalets’ ‘No Style’ and #SoundofTheUnderground, where I introduce you to a London based artist, is from Wunderhorse with ’17’.
Interview with Pearse Egan
I was virtually introduced to Pearse by a mutual contact, I’m glad that happened. Pearse is an actor starring in ‘In From The Side’ which will get its World Premier at the BFI Flare Film Festival in London next week.
Pearse is a great guy and was really open and honest, speaking about his life, getting to where he is in London now, finding his Dad with Davina McCall and his troublesome relationship with Ireland. He’s also a stand up comedian and we chatted about how he uses his life experience in his stand up routine. You can keep up to date with Pearse on Twitter and Insta.
‘In From The Side’ was written and directed by Matt Carter and set within a gay rugby team. You can buy tickets here.
Interview with Circuit 3
Circuit 3 is the electronic musical moniker of Peter F. If you’re into your synths and synth music, you’re going to love this. I adored chatting to Peter and I have to say the chat has reignited a nerdy synth side of me that I haven’t seen in quite a while. He’s got lost of musical stories to tell and has a serious love of late 70s/early 80s synth music. It also happens to be the first music I really got into as a tiny.
Circuit 3 is on the bill for the album release show for Rodney Cromwell in The Cavendish Arms in SW8 tonight (March 19).
You can find out more about Circuit3 on Twitter, Insta, Facebook and on Circuit3.com. Don’t forget you can buy music on Bandcamp.
