Agatha Christie’s ‘Murder on the Nile’ is set to come to Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre from October 29th to November 3rd. Nichola McAuliffe is now to join the cast as ‘Miss ffiliot-ffoulkes’. She replaces Kate O’Mara who was in the role until recently but had to withdraw from the production due to ill health.

‘NICHOLA MCAULIFFE is one of Britain’s best-loved actresses and has had a long and varied career on stage and on screen. Her television credits include Sheila Sabatini in seven series of ITV’s Surgical Spirit, Anita in Coronation Street, and Vivian Rook in Dr. Who. Recent theatre credits include the UK tour of Alan Bennett’s The Lady in the Van, Hay Fever at the Rose Kingston, The Mikado at the Gielgud Theatre and Plague over England at the Finborough. She enjoyed great success with her own play A British Subject, at the Edinburgh Fringe, at London’s Arts Theatre and off Broadway.’
Still involved in the production are Susie Amy, star of 71 Degrees North and Footballers’ Wives, as ‘Kay Mostyn’, Ben Nealon, fondly remembered as Capt Jeremy Forsythe from the long running ITV drama Soldier Soldier, as ‘Simon Mostyn’, and 60’s pop idol, Mark Wynter as ‘Dr Bessner’ and Robert Duncan, prolific stage actor and star of the television hit Drop the Dead Donkey, who stars as ‘Canon Pennefather’.
