There will be 500 events taking part all over the country, this year there are no tickets on sale. You just get down nice and early to the venue of your choice. Other acts already confirmed include

Example and Tinie Tempah have previously played Arthur’s Day. In 2010 the 500 strong crowd in the Village were heard singing ‘Pass Out’ in a cockney accent.
It’s worth noticing that Arthur’s Day supports local entrepreneurs and everytime you check into a venue on Facebook on Arthur’s Day 5euro is donated to their cause.
Anyway at the launch I managed to catch up with Sharleen Spiteri of Texas and you can hear what happened this Wednesday on CUlture Cafe on RTE 2XM at 10 am and for Harry Potter fans, Sharleen relveals where Alan Rickman’s Snape character got his hairstyle from!
Here’s the advert for the event that’s going round, like the global feel to it.
