Agatha Christie’s Verdict Comes to The Gaiety

AgathaChristieVerdict-GaietyFollowing the huge success of Spider’s Web, and most recently Witness For The Prosecution, the Agatha Christie Theatre Company is proud to present Verdict, the most riveting and compelling drama by the undisputed ‘Queen of Crime.’

So what’s it about?

Having been forced to flee persecution in his home country, the brilliant and idealistic Professor Karl Hendryk leads a content and morally upstanding life, but his world is turned upside-down when the prospect of life-saving treatment for his invalid wife persuades him to take on a new pupil against his better judgement; the spoilt, conniving minx Helen who will stop at nothing to get her way. With murderous intentions afoot, it only remains to be seen what verdict will be delivered, and if justice will prevail…

Verdict stars Susan Penhaligon who is famed for television roles in Upstairs Downstairs, Tales of the Unexpected, Bergerac, Remmington Steele, Casualty, Inspector Wycliffe and Doctor Who. Most recently she has appeared in Doctors and played the regular role of Jean Hope in Emmerdale.

She is joined by Robert Duncan whose television appearances include For Maddie With Love, Enemy at the Door, Boon, Squadron, The Bill, EastEnders, Good Guys, The Upper Hand, A Different Drummer, New World and The Burston Rebellion. He is most well known for playing Gus Hedges in the multi award-winning comedy Drop the Dead Donkey.

The cast also includes Lyndon Ogbourne (Emmerdale’s Nathan Wylde), Peter Byrne (Dixon of Dock Green), Elizabeth Power (EastEnders) Holly Goss, Cassie Raine, Andrew Malkin, Mark Martin and 60’s pop idol Mark Wynter.

Tickets are from 17.50 euros and are available from Ticketmaster.ie or from the Gaiety Box Office at South King Street, Dublin 2.
