I had absolutely no choice but to choose these tracks. It’s a while since I’ve heard of anyone actually releasing a AA single but Lana Del Ray is different in many respects. I can see why Video Games and Blue Jeans were released together. Video Games is understated and produced superbly with just vocals and strings and subtle timpani.
Blue Jeans has echoes of Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game and also features some fantastic vocals. I love the production on this too, mixing very classic stylings and samples. These two tracks have been on repeat since I heard them first. A really great new artist to excited about.
