Harts has been featured on the pages of this blog before for his track All Too Real. Finally, solo artist Harts, has released his debut EP. The five track EP includes All Too Real but also includes a track I’ve played all week, ‘The Music’. The EP is out a little while now and it [...]

Tune Of The Week
Only seems like yesterday I was complaining about the release date of Kodaline‘s debut album being pushed back. It’s now just a month til ‘A Perfect World’ is released through RCA Records. Their forthcoming single ‘Love Like This’ is an uptempo track with a folky edge, ukulele and all. Now, they’ve stripped it all back [...]
Fresh off the stage at Vicar St for the launch of their album ‘Absolute Zero’, Little Green Cars have recorded and exclusive EP for Deezer. Tracks recorded for the EP are ‘Goodbye Blue Monday’, ‘The Kitchen Floor’, ‘The Consequences of Not Sleeping’ and a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘I’m On Fire’. Don’t forget to check [...]
I’m really liking this new track from London indie four piece Casablanca, decent indie pop, upbeat catchy and memorable. It’s the first release for the band since September last year when the revealed the AA release Yes/Natalie. They’re part of a growing bunch of friends whose bands are starting to take off, they’re mates with [...]
Maud in Cahoots at The Ferocious Mingle Market: May 9th 2013 I hadn’t heard of The Ferocious Mingle Market recently, I had been walking up Thomas Street, a bloke in front of me suddenly stopped and turned to an entrance where a man, I presumed a bouncer, was standing. I wondered what was going on [...]

Music Review
What can I say about this tune.. it’s absolutely amazing. London Grammar are a three piece who produce damn good songs with a dance undercurrent. Dot Major, Dan Rothman and Hannah Reid whose vocals soar in an old school style, proper songs with dancey beats. Reid’s voice immediately makes London Grammar recognizable. Wasting My Young [...]

Tune Of The Week
This week sees the release of Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby on our shores. I haven’t read any reviews of the film, I’ll see it for myself thanks and I actually read F Scott Fitzgerald’s book yesterday. Going on what I read, I can see how music could be incorporated into the film at Gatsby’s [...]
I’ve been playing All The Boys from Swords on 2XM for the past while, I really like it. I really like the production on the track and think its a great step forward for them. The new video for All The Boys is quite quirky and has a nice dark edge to it. I wonder [...]
Toy Soldiers have just unveiled the new video for Climbing Trees, which is taken from their debut album ‘Calling up the Dusk’. I’ve always liked this track and played it on Culture Cafe on DCUfm a couple of years ago. At that stage, Cian Walsh was a solo artist working under the Toy Soldier moniker. [...]
Earlier this week Amazing Radio announced that it would be returning to DAB in the UK and for the first time, it would be broadcasting on DAB in Dublin, starting next week. I interviewed their CEO, Paul Campbell, for my thesis last year and was immensely impressed with their ethos, they really do care about [...]
