Wrecked but Happy

The weeks seems to be getting busier and busier. It’s two weeks until the end of my second college year and somehow, finally things all seems to be sliding into place.

We have a hell of a lot of assignments to do. At the moment, it seems that all I’m doing is assignments, video editing and preproduction for the radio show. Thanks to the internet being down in the Hub building in DCU this week, I had to prerecord interviews and in studio acoustic sets to be broadcast this week instead.

So this Tuesday (20th April) in studio I’ll have Hitman Lord and Oliver Cole, who I am thrilled to have in. On Thursday as well as live guests there will be an extended Culture Cafe with extra interviews from Von Bizmark and Killian McGrath.

OpenFM also had its first meeting, which I had to miss due to having to prerecord stuff. I wouldn’t let my booked guests down, that’s not fair. Looking forward to 30 days broadcasting during the Summer.

Wednesday went all a bit mental with the DCU Hybrids, I was and still am grateful to the judges for their kind words. I think I’m even happier about the feedback they gave rather than the award itself. Not that I’m not happy to have won, I’m delighted. The feedback though is almost more of a pat on the back and I guess, a guide that what I’m doing is the right thing for me and that I’m going about it the right way.

DCU MPS won best improved society at the National BICs and DCUfm won best website, which is great and well deserved! Everyone has been working as hard if not harder outside assignments for MPS.

Next week, assignments to do and the Student Media Awards are on Wednesday night. I’d love to come home with the award for Blog of the Year.

Fingers crossed!
