Tune of the Week 19/10/2012: Soft Bullets

Every week I chose one track to be Tune of the Week, this week it’s the turn of Soft Bullets Soft Bullets are Christopher Wall and Dan Capaldi and the US/UK transaltlantic musical collaboration has kicked off in style. Christopher is based in the UK, while Dan is in Portland.

The pair are due to release an EP entitled ‘Hyperreality’ in November on Township music and as seems to be the ‘in thing to do’ are releasing a series of videos to coincide with the EP’s release. Another Chance is the first of those and is has a beautiful chilled out vibe.

Live, the pair use triggers to make sure that their shows have the same full band sound as their recordings and they are inspired by live performances from the likes of Daft Punk and Justice ‘the intention is to strike a balance between DJ and band – a huge sound but with a much more live focus.’

It’s an interesting little video and shows the duo being duped by a badger, fox and rabbit. This week’s Tune of the week is Soft Bullets with “Another Chance’.

If you’re in the UK the guys are on tour, no word of an Irish date yet.
