The London Ear // Show 306

The London Ear Lockdown

The London Ear // Show 306

I’ve an hour of great Irish music for you on this week’s episode of The London Ear. It feels like ages since I’ve played just an hour of music. I love chatting to people on the show but unfortunately, as the programme is just one hour, it means sacrificing playing new music.

So rich is the bounty of Irish music at the moment that I had chosen enough music for 80 minutes before realising I wouldn’t be able to squeeze them all in.

This week’s track #FromTheVault is Think’s ‘Gimme The Sound’. I always loved this track and while digitizing my CDs during lockdown found this track on a Hot Press compilation CD. I can’t find out anything about the band, I can’t remember who was in the band. I know the band released an album in 2003 on Studio Loop Records, after that, I draw a blank.

I’ve had a few messages from people who listen to the show on demand, one who listened to the show while out for a jog. Do let me know where you listen to the show and if you listen live or use on demand options.
