The London Ear on RTÉ 2XM // 224 with Julie from Havvk
It was great to finally catch up with Julie Hough, from Havvk on The London Ear. Havvk are now a Berlin based band but started life in London, although the band are originally from Ireland.
We had a number of things to chat about on the show, the band’s new single ‘Always The Same’, their album announcement which will be called ‘Cause and Effect’ and will be released in two parts in 2019.
We also had a chance to chat about how Havvk have set up Veta Records and are working with other artists including the excellent Maria Kelly and Dyver.
Julie is also the cofounder of Self Made, a platform to explore DIY music through performance, discussion, and art, with a strong focus on women in music. They are running a number of events. Do keep an eye out, the support a group like this can provide is simply amazing. You can read their mission statement in full here.
You can find out more about Havvk on their website, Facebook and Twitter.
