This is pretty cool and brilliant for Irish film and animation. Dublin based Boulder Media have produced a show about a 12 year old called Gumball and his family and friends who live in Elmore.
There are some pretty cool things happening here combining 3D animation with 2D and live action. It took eighteen months and a team of fifty three people working in a studio in Dublin to get the finished project. ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ will premier its first two episodes on The Cartoon Network UK on May 2nd at 10am..The full series will run at a later date to be confirmed. A second season has already been commissioned and it will air in 166 countries. Amazeballs!
