I’ve missed a few days here and there in #Project365. It’s actually really hard to get a photo up every day. I still will get 365 uploaded before April 1 2020.

Today is the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landing in Normandy. The Imperial War Museum have had this bad boy in London Bridge station all week in the run up to today. Thousands lots their lives and yes, I hate war but I love planes, which is why I stopped to take some photos of this spitfire. I took these last night when there were less people around. On Saturday, the crowds of people there meant it was a bit difficult to get a couple of shots. Amongst all the voices, I heard an American accent. This lady’s reaction was to ask where the guns were as the plane was no good without guns. We, as the human race, have learned fcuk all. B.M.P.P. Just incase you forget where you are. Brighton Marine Palace and Pier. It carried that name from when it opened in 1899 until 2000 when it was decided to call it simply ‘Brighton Pier’. Ok, so I admit it. I’m kinda besotted by Brighton and already planning to get back there. It was lovely to be able to get out of London, even for a day, and find some new and interesting things to photograph. If you’re ever in Brighton, walk down the pier and on the way back, walk though the amusement arcade. It really is an overload for the senses. Flashing lights, a cacophony of sounds, music from everywhere, coins falling into slot machines, and occasionally you’ll hear a winner get their treasure. Then look up, the place is housed in the most beautiful structure with its domed roof and steel bones, beautifully painted in marine greeny blue. Solstice sunset. We went to a movie and were on the way home. The sunlight was amazing as it bounced off the buildings in Canary Wharf. We get off the train at Hither Green to see a stunning sunset and the sun slip below the horizon. I love the shadows and colours in the clouds and the orangey glow the sunset cast over everything. Simply beautiful.
