#Project365: Day 11-20

London Streetscape

So I’ve got this far, let me tell you, this #Project365 is actually pretty hard. I’ve found myself getting a little annoyed with myself. For me, I always want to get new photos, I want to try and do better. This project isn’t necessarily about taking a new photo every day and sharing it. I also want to share photos that I’ve already taken.

I do hope that along this process, I might be able to figure out if I’ve developed a particular style or if there are certain areas or themes I tend to explore.

If you have any feedback, I’d love to hear it.

Day 11

All along the Luas Line. O’Connell Street, Dublin, Ireland. I’m a bit late with the photo for Day 11, so here it is. I had a lovely 44 hours at home, spent about 30 minutes taking photos in O’Connell Street in Dublin before heading to see my little sis. Then went to down to see my Mam and Dad in Kells before heading back to London last night. Unfortunately, I’ve woken up with a cold so I’m delighted I have an afternoon on the couch. Currently watching A Place In The Sun but the final season of The Americans beckons. #Project365 11/365 #dublin #ireland #travel #ig_travel #instatravel #dublinbus #Luas #dublinbus #visitireland #discoverireland #dublin4all #dublinlife #nessymon #thelondonear #dublindaily #dublinmydarling #dublinstagram #dublinigers #dublino #instaireland #visitireland #instaireland #tourismireland #dubliner #spireofdublin #gpo #tourist #IrishAbroad #irishblogger

Early morning, Villiers Street, London. Occasionally, the city is quiet. But there’s still a sliver of time when day workers and day sleepers overlap, both shuffling along, one trying to wake up, the other winding down to their slumber. I went to bed early last night, thanks to a bout of plane lurgy, so I’m a few hours behind on this. To be honest, for me, Project 365 is more about making me put my photos out there rather than taking one photo every day. There’s no point in taking photographs, if I’m not going to do anything with them. #Project365 13/365 #london #londonsbest #londonstreets #londonbylondoners #londoncollective #london_enthuasist #londontown #londonr #IrishAbroad #irishinlondon #nessymon #villiersstreet #charingcross #london4all #londoner #londonr #visitlondon #underground #londonunderground #londonbylondoners #irishblogger #london_city_photo #toplondonphoto

The King of Carlisle Bridge watches over his domain. I’ve always loved the lights on O’Connell Bridge in Dublin. It’s easy to imagine what the city would have been like in ye olden days. There was a poem we learned at school about ‘Fearr Lasta Lampai’, the man who would go round the streets of Dublin at night, lighting up the gas lamps to light the city. By the way, Carlisle Bridge was the original name for O’Connell Bridge. #project365 14/365 #dublin #oconnellbridge #ireland #visitireland #discoverireland #discoverdublin #nessymon #thelondonear #irishabroad #dublinigers #dublin4all #igdublin #dublindaily #dublinstagram #ig_travel #tourist #dublinmydarling #instaireland #dubliner #dublinlife #seagull #riverliffey #liffey #carlislebridge

Day 15

My heart genuinely breaks tonight to hear of the fire in Notre-Dame Cathedral. J’adore Paris and was only speaking earlier of how I love the way the place makes my brain work. There’s so much art and architecture, it’s so encouraging to be creative. I love the cafe culture and the ability to sit by the river for hours talking and just watching the world go by. I love the museums, the Musee D’Orsay, Montmartre and the little hidden treasures that side streets have to be found. I feel lucky that I got to visit Notre-Dame, I feel lucky that I got to see all the art and the Rose Window in its glory. I took this photo outside Notre-Dame almost ten years ago. Crowds were hanging around in the sunshine, taking photos at the doors when a gang of monks, of the non Christian variety methinks, stood in front of the cathedral and started taking photos. One jumped in the air, showing off, just like the rest of us would. #project365 15/365 #paris #architecture #Notre-Dame #NotreDame #art #fire #monks #iledelacite #gothicarchitecture #church #monks #nessymon #irishabroad #rosewindow #parisjetaime #parisiloveyou #parisgram #peoplewatching #parisphotography #cathedral #notredameparis #notredamedeparis #cathedrale

The sun goes down, the lights go on at the Old Naval College in Greenwich. Have you got any recommendations for anywhere in Greater London I should check out this weekend? Maybe to get a bite and somewhere to take some photos? I know it’s only a four day week but it seems like it has gone on forever. But now, the countdown to chill is on. And sleep. At least an hour extra in bed would be amazing! #project365 17/365 #Greenwich #architecture #christopherwren #oldnavalcollege #primemeridian #dusk #lights #london #londonlife #londonforyou #london4all #timeoutlondon #londonpop #instalondon #ig_london ##toplondonphoto #thisislondon #oldnavalcollege #londonbylondoners #londoncity #nessymon #irishinlondon #thelondonear #londontown #londoncollective #london_enthuasist #england

Waterloo Sunset. Is the Kinks song the best one about London? I think it very well could be. You know what? It was lovely to be out and about this evening. It felt like summer was finally about to kick in and everyone was laughing and smiling. If only we could be like that all the time. I took this just under Waterloo Bridge as the sun was going down, the air was filled with the beating rhythms of the #ExtinctionRebellion protests, just wanting to preserve these beautiful sunsets for generations to come. #Project365 18/365 #nessymon #riverthames #london #londonsbest #londonstreets #thames #sunset #waterloosunset #southbank #london4all #londontown #londonbylondoners #london_city_photo #thelondonlife #londonr #london_enthuasist #londoncollective #londonpop #thelondonear #toplondonphoto #londoner #londoncity #ig_london #instalondon
