I actually don’t know how long I’ve been a fan of Little Comets, I think it must be about eight or nine years at this stage. I’ve had the opportunity to interview the band a few times and have always found both their music and their personalities infectious. Their first album ‘In Search of The Elusive Little Comets’ had me hooked!
Their latest release ‘American Tuna’ is no different. The band are lyrical masters, witty, funny and a turn of phrase that would leave published authors envious. Their upbeat, positive spin in their music can’t help but leave you feel better. They really should be prescribed as the ultimate anti-depressant.
The video for the ‘American Tuna’ is very clever. The lads sneaked into Sheffield Hallam University and hogged the lifts for a few hours.
This is the second Little Comets release in a month, following up on The Sneeze. Seeing as they’ve also announced a UK tour for the end of the year, I’m hoping this means a new full length record is on the way.
I just love this band.
