Culture Cafe on RTE 2XM: Show 98 June 5 2013

I’m a bad daughter, today was my Mummy’s birthday and I forgot to say hello to her on the radio. So happy birthday Mam. My excuse is that it was quite a busy show today, new music, plus chatting to Moya and Tiane Doan Na Champassak.

Moya is a London based singer songwriter who has a lot of radio success in hte UK with her song ‘A Little More Love’. The video has also had over 587000 views on YouTube. She’ll be in Ireland at the end of June supporting Rod Stewart in the Odyssey in Belfast and at the RDS in Dublin.

Tiane Doan Na Champassak is a French born photographer of Asian descent. He current has two exhibitions running in the Copperhouse Gallery. I spoke at length about ‘Showroom’ which is a exhibition focused on a transgendered community in India, who come together in small village to celebrate a religious festival. During our chat, Tiane explains what really happens.

Here’s the running order for the show:
1. DJ Flip & Freezemaster Slick: Crossroads
2. Runaway GO: I Would Go
3. Catfish and The Bottlemen:Homesick
4. Chat with Moya
5. Moya: A Little More Love
6. David Lyttle feat Rhea and Duke Special: Celebrate
7. Chat with Tiane Doan Na Champassak (Part 1)
8. L.A. Salami: Old Queen’s Head
9. Chat with Tiane Doan Na Champassak (Part 2)
