So last Sunday, I went to the Westin Hotel in Dublin along with another 140 people and took part in a sing song for charity. Organized by Brenda Drumm we all recorded ‘Winter Song’ originally done by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson.
Today the single was officially launched in The Westin Hotel, who have been so kind to everyone involved with their generosity. The big thing to remember is that all proceeds will go to the Neo Natal Unit in Holles Street Hospital. I actually forgot until my Mum reminded me that when I was born, I was there for a little while. Who wouldn’t want to help ickle sickly babies?
Anyway, tonight, less than eight hours after its release, myself and my other 140 odd twitter buddies who were in The Westin last Sunday, received the news that ‘Winter Song’ had gone to number one in the Irish iTunes Chart! Hurrah! Always wanted a Chart topper!
As soon as the video is online I will post it but in the meantime you can download the track from iTunes! Yay!
