I’ve always had a soft spot for The 1975. Their first album intrigued me, it seemed to be broken into different sections, each varying slightly in style.
So far, tracks from their second album, the creatively titled, ‘I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it’ due out on February 26th, are aiming straight at eighties popdom. That ain’t no bad thing at all. If I like this guys now, my early teen self would have been all over them.
The Sound is a decent pop song with a really subtle understated guitar solo and production melds contemporary sounds with this eighties feel. Like it a lot.
