Tune of the Week // Roe – Patient.Wasted.Thinking

Roe’s track ‘Patient.Wasted.Thinking’ has been knocking around for a bit now and I’ve been delighted to played on The London Ear. Now, we’ve got a video for it!

Roe is a 19 year old from Derry who makes, what she describes as, ‘Grumpy Electro Pop’ with some drum machines, gorgeous synth sounds and her trusty strat.

The production on Patient.Wasted.Thinking features lovely instrument placement in your headphones. The grumbly bass sound is pure heaven and is counterbalanced beautifully by the clean sounding strat. The track beautifully builds to a huge electro pop soundscape before dropping back to a vocals and guitar conclusion.

Visually and sonically Roe seems to have a clear idea of where she sit in current music. Her newly released video for Patient.Wasted.Thinking fits perfectly with its aesthetic.

Roe managed to grab a BBC Introducing spot at Glastonbury last year as well as playing at Other Voices, The Great Escape, and earlier this year played at Eurosonic. Going on that alone, the future is looking bright.
