As I was putting this week’s episode of The London Ear together, I received an email from James Darkin with the video for this song. Immediately I emailed back asking for the track to play on the radio.

Who is James Darkin?

James is an extremely talented sound engineer and producer. He’s head guy in Temple Lane Studios in Dublin and has worked on sessions for the likes of Rihanna and Will.i.am and has worked on mixes for Hozier, The Original Rudeboys and Plutonic Dust (who I love).

Why make Chase ‘Tune of the Week’?

I love James’ production and I love the electronic industrial-ness of ‘Chase’. This is an instrumental track and you don’t miss vocals. The track builds and ebbs beautifully. I’ve been playing it constantly since I heard it. Being totally honest, this is the kind of music I’d like to make.

Chase is the follow up to Needle Noise from earlier this year and is taken from ‘Go No Matter What’, James’ album due out on October 31st.

Hat tip also to Conor Donoghue for the ever so cleverly trippy video.
