The Traps have previously graced the pages of this site with a free download of ‘Your Headland’ last August. B-Town’s finest (that’s what all the cool kids are calling Birmingham these days) are back with ‘Calypso’ which they are releasing on their own label,’Speech Fewapy’. The band have also also been hard at work putting on club nights showcasing local talent and using their labels to put put out some local tracks too.
‘Calyopso’ is out on Monday in the UK, I’m waiting for confirmation of Irish store deets, you can get it in Ireland on iTunes. The single was based on the character from Homer’s Odyssey and The Traps’ debut album is due for release later this year.
