The London Ear - Ogress of Reading

The London Ear on RTÉ 2XM // Show 184 with Author, Eithne Cullen

On today’s show, I spoke to author, Eithne Cullen about her book ‘The Ogress of Reading’. Amelia Dyer, whom the book is about, was a seriously nasty piece of work. Living in the late 1800s, she set up houses where ‘girls in trouble’ could come take respite, she also adopted unwanted babies. However – these are my words, not Eithne’s – she was an evil, murderous, nasty woman.

Eithne is originally from Dublin but moved to London when she was six years old. We speak about her book and her Irish background.

You can purchase ‘The Ogress of Reading’ from Amazon. You can find out a little more about Eithne here
