Storyfold: Trick of Light video

Storyfold have just premiered the new video for their single ‘Trick of Light’. They are one of those bands that I’ve managed to be acquainted with since their first recordings so it’s lovely to see that their debut album, ‘Rocket Science’ will be out on May 20th.

The video was directed by Conall O’Meara, Director of Photography was Mark Boland. I love the grading on the whole thing, kudos to Stephen O’Connell.

(Edit: I just got this re the making of the video.. )

The video, which was shot in one day at a disused 18th century Dublin Georgian townhouse, has been edited by former U2 editor Stephen O’Connell. He has just finished work on new multi-million dollar tv series Camelot starring Joseph Fiennes and Eva Green. The Dubliner had a chance encounter with lead singer Paddy McKenna 6 years ago in AIB where the Storyfold frontman worked. He casually told McKenna to call him if he ever needed an editor. Fast forward to 2011 and a cold call to edit the new Storyfold video. Racing from Dublin to LA, the editor had little time on his hands but upon hearing the song decided to spend his Easter holidays working on the project. O’Connell has become a massive fan of the band and plans to work with Storyfold on future projects.
