Today and yesterday, (yes me in my sick bed) I was working on some artwork for ‘Pesky Kids, The IYMA’s Volume 2 Monaghan’. Thats a mouthful!
Basically it’s the album of the IYMA’s. MGRB from Monaghan won the competition this year hence: Volume 2. Monaghan
The artwork is pretty much the same format as last year’s Volume 1: Donegal. It’s a 12 page full colour booklet with full colour backliner and full colour disc.
The logo I came up last year and the tagline ‘Young Music Has a New Home’, which I think is still pretty cool. I used the Hard Way RMX font, as the CD is aimed at people between 14-19, this isn’t a boring font and has a bit of a hiphop/rock graffiti edge to it.
Last year’s CD was launched at the Music Show in the RDS, not sure what the story is with this year’s CD, I just know its going to press yesterday.. Ah sure what’s new its Rock N’ Roll!
A little more time to get the artwork done would have been good..That reminds me I must do a blog post on music duplication!!
