Hot Country – Temporary Licence Ends for 2009

Me and Simon Young

Last Weekend was our last weekend of broadcasting for 2009.

On Saturday night I did from 1700-2000 GMT, counting down some of the Top 500 songs, I think I ended up at number 297… I found a link to the X Factor online so was having a goo at the end of the show.

On Sunday myself and Simon did our last show, It was a great experience to co-host with such a legend. You can catch Simon on ChristmasFM this Friday morning for the brekkie show with Garvin. So we did a final Sunday Fun between 1100 – 1400.

I was back in for Mark between 1700-2000 so I managed to do 9 hours live radio in the final hours of Hot Country.

The legend that is Jim Kenny, counted down the Top Ten. We all went to the Cheers Bar in Parnell St, Dublin then where we had a few drinks and linked up live with The 90’s network who also finished up on their temporary licence that night.

I really enjoyed Hot Country, hopefully it will be back on in 2010.

Photos to come!
