Civil Twilight are a band based in Nashville and are one quarter Nashville, three quarters from Cape Town South Africa. ‘River’ is their debut on this part of the planet but I’ve been listening to some more of their stuff on Soundcloud and I’m liking what I’m hearing.
‘River’ is taken from their second album ‘Holy Weather’, it follows the 2010 self titled debut release. They’ve previously played at Bonaroo and opened for Florence + The Machine and The Smashing Pumpkins.
While I’m here, I’m not entirely sure when the album ‘Holy Weather’ is going to get a release here but according to their website there’s a remix EP on the way which includes a Ra Ra Riot Remix of River and an amazing Audien remix of ‘Fire Escape’.
